Sixty Meters to Anywhere

Read

Leonard got sober at twenty-three after an arrest and a night in a cell, and then had to work out what a life looks like without the thing that had organized it. What he found was climbing. The book runs the two together — the drinking years told straight and without self-flattery, and then the slow apprenticeship on rock, the fear, the partners, the long drives, the first big routes. He’s the guy behind Semi-Rad and he’s funny, but this is the serious one, and the honesty about early recovery is the reason people hand it to each other.
