Blaukopf teaches in Montreal and sketches a lot of wet streets and bare trees, and this is the color volume of the handbook series. It’s pocket-sized and built around one idea: A tiny palette, mixed well, beats a big box of tubes. She works from a limited set of pigments, shows the mixes, and spends most of the book on the problems you actually hit on location — grey days, green summer foliage that goes to mush, snow, brick, night scenes, skies changing while you paint.
