dook
A soft, rapid, clucking vocalization made by a ferret during play — a chuckling chatter that accompanies bouncing, wiggling, and the frantic sideways hop known as the weasel war dance. A dooking ferret is a happy ferret. Some never learn to do it.
Etymology
Onomatopoeic. The word imitates the sound. In use among ferret keepers since at least the 1990s.
