KAP-ee-ah

Fear in the face of unpredictable violence — the dread felt when threat is present but its form is unknown. Distinct from ilira, which accompanies awe. Kappia is the fear of what might happen without warning.
Etymology
Inuktitut: kappia. Where ilira has reverence in it, kappia has none.
