sploot
The posture an animal assumes when lying flat on its belly with hind legs stretched straight out behind — a full-body pancake, belly pressed to the floor. Corgis made it famous. Cats, squirrels, bears, and frogs do it too. The position stretches the hips and cools the belly.
Etymology
Probably a blend of splat and splay, imitating the flat, spread-out appearance. Internet slang, associated with DoggoLingo, in use since at least 2012.
